Why is it that the only time that I desperately crave Dr. Pepper and Taco Bell is on Sundays... the day of rest... the day of no shopping?

Don't do it!!!
Just don't!! Recently I made the mistake of reading a friends blog, and she had mention something about Wooting. Hu? What on earth is Wooting?? Well don't. JUST DON'T. As a matter of fact, do not read any further about how it is a site that sells one thing a day. I say, don't read! And DO NOT WOOT!! It will suck you in!!
My goodness, it is addicting. You have a mere 24 hours to justify why you need a r/c car... or a bluetooth adapter... or a reading light. Sure I have a lamp, but wouldn't a reading light be... BETTER?? So don't, I tell you, do not WOOT. And THANK YOU Katie... you enabler, you!!! I haven't been this addicted since the Marbles epidemic of 2000. Ok, and then there was the eBay, livejournal, Craigslist, myspace and facebook.. but STILL.. thanks a LOT!! I deWOOT you!!

Want to be happy?
Tonight for dinner we had Jello. Not just Jello, though. Sam said,
"Mom, I love Jell-O. It makes me happy."
"Mom, I love Jell-O. It makes me happy."
Life is good. And my husband was worried about all the Jell-o we have. HA! It makes the kid HAPPY. J - E - L - L - O!!!
Feb 2nd Week Goals
I've decided to post my weekly goals here for all to see, so that I must be accountable. At the end of the week, I'll check in and let you know my successes and failures.
Ok, that is it for this week. Short, sweet, no reason for a failure. The reason for #3 is that our dishwasher is broken and the other dishwasher is complaining about using him too much. :-P
- Go on a walk at least three times this week.
- Study for my test at least a day before (not the day of).
- Keep the kitchen dirty dish free the entire week.

Todays lesson
So in our new home, there are four bedrooms... well, technically 3. However, the 4th 'bedroom', isn't really a bedroom at all. No closet, no windows.. has a door to the garage and a door to the rest of the house. But it is big. I mean, BIG. So we decided, despite the windowlessness, despite the dinky heater not being able to keep up... we were going to make it the master bed room.
It is great! Our king size bed takes up about 1/3 of the room. We have a dresser, a desk, and plenty of room for more things. We are thinking about a table and some cute winged chairs or something, so we have a sitting area.... in our bedroom. ANYWAY, where I was going with this explanation of our room is, we do not have a window. The room is generally cold, which I love!
However, due to the lack of window, it is very, very dark in here. And if some sneaky little girls who want to play the Wii or the computer without permission choose to close our bedroom door, keeping it pitch black, we both will sleep long amounts of time because, of course, the sun is not shining through to wake us up.
I am not a morning person, therefore really need an alarm to get me up in the mornings during the school day. Today is Sunday. Church starts at 1pm. Did not set an alarm. Said girls decided they wanted to get some Wii action in before we woke up, and closed our door. 11:30, we wake up... and could NOT believe what time it was!!! Went out, and the girls were happy as could be playing their game. Clearly they had eaten breakfast (it was a grand mess). When we got out there we hear, "Oh, you're up. You can go back to bed!" I was planning to start working on dinner at 10am, and enjoy a leisurely morning. Oh well.
Lesson? Set the alarm. Even on the weekends.
........ and hide the Wii motes.
